One of my best friends dated someone (who became my friend at that time) over a year ago, but they only dated for a month. I don't remember why they split up, but they try not to talk to each other. I've only seen them talk to each other casually two or three times while we were hanging out with a bunch of other friends.

They're both still my friends and I do almost everything with my best friend because we have almost the same class schedule and hang out with the same people and everything. The other friend, the one who my best friend dated, I don't get to see often but when I do we make eye contact and "feel it".

I want to date my best friend's ex because I really like that person, but I don't know if I should just stay loyal to my best friend or follow the path of love.

What do you have to say?

You should first ask yourself who is more important to you, your best friend or the guy. And you should first talk about it with your best friend if she counts a lot for you. If you date him without talking about it, you’ll certainly lose her friendship. And if the guy is more important then just go for it. But know that you’ll lose a close valuable friend. So make the decision right. Is he worth it?
